Truck Load

Thursday, Josh, my Mom and myself headed up to Greenville, TN to see Greg.  We went for a visit and to get a table that he was giving to Josh and me.  Well, needless to say, we came home with a "truck load," as my title suggest.
This guy was ready for a ride.
And this girl....not so much!  She sat in the back seat with me for most of the trip.
 The pilot and co-pilot.
They finally both gave up and took a nap!
And this is what we looked like coming home.  We ended up coming home with 2 tables and 10 chairs!
We may have looked like the "Clampetts," but we made it home in one piece...and I even drove some of the way home :)
 Our new dining room table
And our new kitchen table.  This one is just like our old one, only the darker colors (and we took the leaf out).  My brother is going to get our old one.  Thank you Greg so much for all of our new furniture.  We love it and appreciate it more than you'll ever know!!

Folly Beach Getaway

My Mom, Josh and myself went on a little weekend getaway to Folly Beach to see Shane.  Friday, my Mom and I got to hang out a little while before the guys joined us.  We spent the afternnon on the beach and for supper, she and I ate at a little restaurant called Rita's.  It was so good.  Shane met up with us after supper and Josh didn't get to come down till late Friday night after he got off work.
Saturday morning, we got up early and ate at one of my favorite restaurants on Folly called, "The Lost Dog Cafe."  Their breakfast is so good.

My sweet hubby and me.  After breakfast, we headed to the beach for the day.
Josh and Shane chilling on the balcony!
The beautiful view from our room.
 Folly Pier

Sunset over Folly
And another neat picture I took of the pier.
We had a great time together as a family.  It was a much needed getaway.  Thank you Mom for a fun weekend trip!

Movie Day

I kept Gracie Wednesday and we had a big time!  We went to the movies and saw "Happy Feet 2."  It was cute.
Here is a pretty girl very excited to head to the movies!
Gracie and me before the movie began.  We also got some popcorn and drinks!

We had a little photo op after everyone left the theater!  She is so sweet.
After the movie, we picked up some lunch and headed back to my house to eat and take a nap.  Getting the three of them all looking at the camera is quite the challenge.
Ok, I settled for two of them! :)
This picture and the next one of Chloe cracks me up.  They both looked like they were saying "Who me?"  I was telling Gracie, "keep your eyes open.."  haha, too cute!
 She is a mess!
Much better Chloe!
Nothing like a day with my sweet girl Gracie to make my day a little brighter!  Love her.

Seeking Peace in His Presence

June 11, 2012-A day I will never forget.  And though I'm not going into many details on here...I had to share a little about that day.  I was hurting and he held me.  I was crying and he wiped my tears.  I was scared and he calmed my fears.  As I was praying and searching for answers that terrible day, God gave me this:
"Thank Me for Your Problems.  As soon as your mind gets snagged on a difficulty, bring it to Me with thanksgiving.  Then ask Me to show you My way to handle the situation.  The very act of thanking Me releases your mind from its negative focus.  As you turn your attention to Me, the problem fades in significance and loses its power to trip you up.  Together we can deal with the situation, either facing it head-on or putting it aside for later consideration.
Most of the situations that entangle your mind are not today's concerns; you have borrowed them from tomorrow.  In this case, I lift the problem out of today and deposit it in the future, where it is veiled from your eyes.  In its place I give you My Peace, which flows freely from My Presence."
from "Jesus Calling" by Sarah Young
And the amazing thing was that this devo was for May 11th, not June 11th.  I flipped to the wrong month by accident and didn't realize it until after I had read it.  I knew then, that the Lord had led me there to read just that.  Wow!
In the midst of everything, He has given me peace...a peace that passes all understanding...a peace that I know can only come from Him.  I'm so thankful for His grace, mercy, love and peace!  The verses from the devo that day:
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."  John 14:27
~"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6

Ice Cream and Games

After church Sunday night, we had a little get together with the College and Career class.  We had planned to go swimming at my Dad's house, but it was storming, so we opted for our house.
We played some games and had homemade ice cream, compliments of Josh and Steven.  It was so good.  We will definitely make more next time.  I didn't take many pictures.  Just snapped one of the girls...sorry guys.  If you look closely, you can see the guys in the background making the ice cream :)
We had a great night with our great class!
