"Guard" Dog

I came home from work this morning to find my sweet Chloe guarding her "treat treats" in her mouth.

She has two in there...haha (sorry the pic is blurry, taken from my not so up-to-date phone) She is keeping them away from her uncles:

Puck
And Nick!! They are too funny! I just love em'!

Monkeying Around

Last week, my Mom and I received a special treat...We got to keep Olivia and Bella (my little cousins) for most of the day! We had a very fun, energy filled :) day ( wish I could have just a small portion of theirs.) Our first stop.....

Fuddruckers for some yummy lunch!! They are so cute...Sweet girls!!

Quick pic before we go pick up our cookie...You just can't eat here and not a get a cookie for dessert right? Next stop....
Monkey Joes!!
This is Bella, after bouncing "out" of the first jumpy thing. It scared me and when I went to check on her, this is how I found her...silly girl!!

Olivia taking a break from bouncing!

There were only a few other people in the place so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was nice and quieter than usual. My Mom with the girls!!

Love this pic!

The girls coming down the big slide together. Sorry it's a little blurry..they were moving pretty fast :)

I snuck into the Sesame Street inflatable with Bella. Getting in the thing was easy...getting out, not so much!!

And yes, the girls even talked my Mom into sliding down the "big slide."

Haha..this one is great. Wish their faces would have been clearer. My Mom's was priceless! Also, there were a few screams not captured. I should have recorded it.

And I had to get on one last time before we left. This jumpy thing, however, needed a little more air, and our landing off the slide, for Olivia and myself, wasn't so soft!! :) But we had a great time there. After MJ's, we headed to Target, for a few surprises, then to our house to "rest" and finally, to VBS that evening. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed spending time with them. Hope to do it again real soon!!

Off the Chain

Today, after Josh and I finally decided to get up (I'm not telling you what time that was :)...we hit up Lowes and PetSmart and then went hard to work on a very special project for our furry friend!!! And his name is Petey!!!!! He is Missy's (my sister-in-law...but more like my sister) and Gracie's(my niece) sweet doggie.
Gracie just loves him...and he loves her!

Love this picture. Looks like he was about to give her a big, wet kiss...but he didn't ;)
Just enjoying her loving!!! But because of some holes in the fencing, he has had to stay on a chain. But today......

after a lot of hard work, in the hot sun, the fence was mended and Petey got "off the chain." This picture was Josh and his dad working on the fence.

This was Petey before he got off his chain....

And this was Petey after. Almost looked like he was smiling at us. And that tail of his never stopped wagging.

After he got off, he went exploring all the new smells and seeing the new sights.

He even had to go and bury his new bone!

And then just decided to sit and enjoy it!

Josh and his Dad, stopping for a break..and a quick pic.

And we had to get our picture all hot and glistening!! What wasn't pictured, however, was Missy, Gracie and myself giving Petey a bath. Petey was a little scared of the water at first, and then I think he realized how good it felt on such a hot day. And with a little help from Josh, who got some really soaked shoes and pants, Petey got a nice bath and a cool down! We had a great day! And while we were working, Missy started singing this song..and I think its pretty fitting!

"my chains are gone...I've been set free..."

And it just reminded me of how we are chained up in bondage...but through Jesus' precious love and amazing Grace, we have been set free!! Unending love, Amazing Grace!!

Happy Birthday Brandon!!

Tonight, I was supposed to work, but got to "take call" (which means there were enough nurses and I was able to not go in to work and just stay on call if they need me, anytime during the night) and I welcomed the night off!!

We got to go out and celebrate with......

The Cater Family!!!!!

Love this picture of Brody!! What a handsome little guy!! I could take pictures of him all day!

Josh entertained us with his magic trick....still not sure how this works...hmmm??

We were celebrating Brandon's Birthday, which was Thursday, the 22nd. We went to O'Charley's and had a great time with great friends.....and really good food!!!
This is the sweet shirt we got Brandon for his bday...straight from Charleston! And a great restaurant by the way!!! We ended the night at their house watching a movie, and eating cake! In the words of Brandon.....our night was...."NTS." (Not too shabby...thanks B) :)

Welcome!!

Hello friends!! Yes, I've officially entered this new blogging world. Been thinking about it for a while, and after enjoying reading some friend's blogs so much (Thanks Loren, Julie and Terri), I finally decided to see how this would go. Now, if know me, you know that I love taking pictures and scrapbooking. But I often take lots of pictures for my scrapbooks, that no one really ever sees (especially those not on facebook). So this could be a great solution, some quick and easy scrapbooking to share!! While also letting me share my faith and Love for Christ with others. We will see!!

So a little about me and my family:

I am 28 years old and I am in LOVE...first and foremost with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is Lord of our lives and we seek to know and serve Him more each and every day. "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15

Secondly, I'm in love with my husband, Josh. He is the love of my life and my best friend. We were high school sweet hearts..
And He finally popped the question on Nov 10, 2005....And I said "YES" of course!!!

We were married on Dec 2, 2006 in such a beautiful and spiritual ceremony! Our favorite verse as a couple: "Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance." 1 Corinthians 13:7
And almost 5 years later...here we are!! We don't have any kids YET, but we do have a playful 4 year old little Shih-Tzu named Chloe. She loves to give big, wet kisses and loves to play with her toys and babies...and an occasional dirty sock.... :) And yes, I have to post my fav picture of her. Its a little old, but she still looks pretty much the same...maybe just a little chunkier ;)

Josh and I have absolutely crazy schedules, so I cherish my time with Josh. I work third shift at a local hospital as a nurse on the Labor and Delivery floor. And although it's stressful and has its moments, I LOVE my job. Not only do I get to meet so many people, but I get to be apart of such a special time in their lives.

Josh and I have been blessed with such wonderful family and friends, who mean the world to us and we love dearly...and you will see plenty of them in future posts. But I do have to put one special little girl's picture up on here...Her name is Kylie Grace "Gracie" and she is our niece and goddaughter. We love her so much. And I have to post my fav picture of her too, with Josh!! She is older than this now, but still just as cute!!! And you'll be seeing plenty more of her too!!!

Josh and I have also been blessed with an amazing church family. We teach the College and Career Sunday School Class at TBC, the C&C! And we have an awesome group. This year we have really been focusing on mission work in our community and have had some great outings. Will post that too!!!

We have a lot of big things coming up in our near future. We will hopefully be building our house soon. We have land...now just need the house :) And we are more than ready to fill our new home with lots of little children...(ok so maybe just 2, but it sounded good :) And we know and trust that God's timing for all of this will be perfect. Because we serve an on time God. "He has made everything beautiful in its time..." Ecclesiastes 3:11

So that's a quick overview of our beautiful life together. We look forward to capturing and sharing all of our precious moments with you!!!

4th of July, Charleston style

For the 4th this year, we decided to go visit my brother, Shane, who lives in Charleston. We had a great time celebrating with him and his girlfriend. We enjoyed some lazy days on the beach and some great food. We also saw a beautiful fireworks display over the water. I didn't take very many pictures (imagine that) and I wasn't too impressed with the ones I did take. So, I guess the bird will have to do for now. He was a funny little guy, I just had to get his picture! Thank you Shane for letting us come down and celebrate with you! Love you!

Happy Birthday Nanny Tuck

Saturday, we went to Nanny Tuck's birthday party! The party was at Donna and Ricki's house. Josh had to work, but got to come by for a little while after he got off work.Josh and his Nanny
Sweet girl having fun in the pool
David and Ricki grilling up some yummy food

The girls taking a dip: Savannah, April, Kelli, Hannah, and Izzy

Mike, chillin by the pool

A few of the guys: Brad, Tony and Josh B.

Haha...this picture cracks me up! I think she was saying "get me out of this thing."

Me and Gracie having some fun! She loves to play lifeguard in the water. I pretend like I'm in trouble, and she comes to the rescue.

Nanny Tuck is such an amazing woman. She is the one of the most kind, compassionate and thoughtful person that I know! She always makes me smile just being around her! So happy we could celebrate this special day with her! Happy Birthday Nanny! We love YOU!
