KidSenses Children's Museum

Today, while Gracie was still on Christmas break, Josh and I decided to take her to "KidSenses Children's Museum" in Rutherfordton, NC. We have passed by there a few times and always wanted to bring her, so today was the day! We stopped by Cracker Barrel for lunch and then headed there for some fun! Sweet girl! This child loves animals, and especially dogs! So we had to stop for a pic beside this dog before we got started! While at the museum:
We explored a fire truck and had our picture taken on it!
We drove the fire truck!
And smiled pretty on it!
We acted silly!

We were news reporters!

And camera-girls!

And talked Uncle Josh into reporting some news too! We did a little grocery shopping,

And shopped a little more!

We worked the cash register,

And did a little cooking,

"Bon Appetit!"

We put on a puppet show with Uncle Josh,

And one with Aunt Brandie! We had a lot of fun and explored many of our "senses." We really enjoyed our day with our special girl!! Gracie, we love YOU!

Christmas Day 2011

Christmas Day was a little different this year. Josh had to work the whole weekend of Christmas, on day shift, so all of our family gatherings were in the evenings after Josh got off work. So Christmas Day I really didn't have a whole lot planned until that evening. So I slept in and relaxed till time to head to Missy's house! It was actually pretty nice, even though I missed Josh!Gracie and I got in a little game of b-ball before the party got started!
Opening up some of her presents.
Missy and Gracie gave Wick and Patti this beautiful picture they had professionally done. They were great. It was a special gift. Oh and I got one too! :)

Look what we got from Wick and Patti...ornaments made from...cha ching...Money! It was quite creative and very much appreciated!

Love this picture of that sweet smile!

We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

~"...but the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Luke 2:9-12~

Christmas at my Dad's

After we celebrated Christmas at my Mom's on Christmas Eve, we headed to my Dad and Judy's house. We always love going over there and spending time with them. My Dad, Me, Judy and my brother, Shane

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at my Mom's this year. We enjoyed an awesome supper and then relaxed until Josh got home from work. When he got home, he ate, and then it was present time!! We always have fun opening our presents and spending time together!

I got a few pics of Chloe with her dress on. But at this point, Chloe was mad, as you can clearly see. She wouldn't even look at me when I spoke to her. She was sitting with Greg and pretty much begging him to take it off of her. :)
So, I finally took it off of her. And she snatched it up and took off with it. She was probably thinking, "hmmm...where can I hide this so she will never find it again."
And she was all smiles cause it was time to open presents!! What a cute little gift!!
Shane getting some good stuff!

One of my favorite gifts this year that my hubby gave me: Tickets to go see Dave Ramsey next month in Atlanta! I'm so excited!

Another one of my awesome gifts from Josh: a quilt made out of my old shirts, that I can't part with but don't want to wear anymore! What an great idea! Thanks Babe, I love it!

My amazing Mother, me and our two precious pups!

NICK

And CHLOE say Merry Christmas!!

This Christmas was missing someone. Christmas wasn't the same without this happy dog running around seeing what was in the gifts! We miss you Puck!!

And From Our Family To Yours, We Wish You A Merry Christmas!!

Christmas at Grandma's

On Friday night, December 23rd, we celebrated Christmas with my Dad's side of the family at my Grandma and Papa's house. We had great food and fellowship. After supper, we watched an old movie of the grandchildren performing our famous "Grand Ole Opry," and got a lot of laughs. We had a awesome night! We have Christmas every year at their house. I have so many amazing memories of past Christmas' here. And this is one of them. My Grandma puts this little tree, along with a wreath just like it, out every year. And I just love it. Isn't it so cute?

My Dad, me and ShaneHere is Shane and Grandma doing a little "cooking." This year, for Christmas and Thanksgiving, we arrived around lunch time and helped in the kitchen. Grandma and I made her amazing Crock Pot Mac and Cheese, corn, okra and I made my pineapple casserole. We had some time to just hang out, play some cards and relax before everyone got there and the festivities began. There is something so "sweet" about cooking and being in the kitchen together. This is our new tradition that I hope we continue every year.

And you would've just had to have been there for this moment. Grandma got a Carolina shirt and made a joke about it being a Tim Tebow shirt. To our surprise, she evidently really likes Mr. Tim Tebow, and we were giving her a hard time about it. She got tickled and I caught this picture mid-laugh! It was quite entertaining!
